Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and tools to perform the needed roofing necessary to complete the Replace Third Floor Roof at the Downtown Library. ROUGH CARPENTRY A. Wood blocking, furring, grounds, curbs, nailers and other rough wood items. B. Exterior plywood and rough plywood used in concealed or semi-concealed areas. C. Rough hardware. ROOF TEAR-OFF A. General: Notify Owner’s Representative as discussed at the pre-construction meeting or requested by Owner each day of extent of roof tear-off proposed for that day. B. Do not overload the deck substrate with excessive piles of removed loose aggregate or materials. C. Full Roof Assembly Tear-Off: Remove existing roofing and other roofing system components down to the structural roof deck and discard materials appropriately. D. Remove roof insulation, roofing membrane, base flashing, miscellaneous metal components, i.e., parapet caps and metal counter flashings and discard as noted on plans.
