The generalscope of work is for a New Medical Service Facility to be constructed as an addition to the Madison County Fire Department located at2432 Technology Center Drive, Jackson, TN 38301. The proposed addition will be single-story, approximately 4,200 sq. ft., and include a lounge area, offices, and conference room. The proposed building addition will also include two vehicle bays that will house a fire truck and ambulance. Construction type is pre-engineered metal building framing, shallow foundations, concrete slab-on-grade, metal wall and roof panel system (matching existing Fire Station). The site work will accommodate the new building addition with a new vehicle drive, parking, and accessibility to the building. The new building addition has been designed in accordance with the 2018 lnternational Building Code and in compliance with local authority having jurisdiction. The addition also complies with the 2018 Energy Conservation Code, including mechanical, gas, plumbing, and electrical codes. The building addition is considered Mixed Occupancy, Business (Group B) and Storage {Low hazard, Group S-2) and is Non-Sprinkled with Construction Type ll-B.
