The Water Distribution Department of the Lansing Board of Water and Light (“BWL”) is soliciting proposals for surface restoration at the noted location on the construction plans. The location of this project can be identified as Detroit St – Michigan Ave to Kalamazoo St. Restoration includes, but is not limited to, asphalt paving, driveway, and structure adjustments. All restoration will take place following the water main replacement project being performed by the BWL crews. BWL crews will be replacing water main on Detroit St. from mid April to early/mid June. Restoration is expected to begin mid to late June. Restoration on Detroit St MUST be completed by August 1. BWL traffic control will remain in place for the duration of the restoration efforts. Contractor will be responsible for all labor, equipment and materials necessary for the restoration of the proposed items. Additional detail regarding this project can be found in the drawings and specifications, including but not limited to the Special Provisions dated 10/8/21, contained in this RFP. All work must be completed in accordance with BWL Standards and the MDOT 2020 (or most current) Standard Specifications for Construction, unless otherwise specified herein. All referenced or applicable drawings, specifications, and Standards are collectively referred to as the “Specifications.”
