The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is to secure the services of an asbestos abatement contractor to perform miscellaneous abatement work for Pierce County Facilities Management Department. Possible work locations include but are not limited to general office buildings, court facilities, correctional facilities, and other selected Pierce County facilities on an as-needed basis. The contractor shall initiate and enforce quality control procedures consistent with applicable ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers), and SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings) standards and the protective coating manufacturer’s recommendations. Coatings may be subject to third-party performance testing.
