The Montachusett Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) seeks proposals from qualified individuals or firms to expand the bandwidth and the capacity of the Agency, as well as bring skill sets that will benefit the Agency in performing tasks associated with the MVP Action Grant Project titled “Looking Upstream, Learning Downstream: A Geo-Spatial Chronicle and Lessons Learned from the Leominster Flood Emergency of 9/11/2023”. The project consists of conducting multi-stakeholder events and evaluation of the Leominster Emergency Flooding event that occurred on September 11, 2023 (9/11 Flood) to understand the causes, impacts and circumstances which may have contributed to or exacerbated the magnitude of flooding in the community. Additional tasks involve utilizing green infrastructure tools and techniques to devise mitigation strategies for future events.
