The City of Morgan Hill (City) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms interested in providing Construction Testing Services and special inspections for the Public Services Department, Capital Improvement Project (CIP) Engineering Division. The City is seeking on-call services of a construction testing services company who will assist the City during the construction of upcoming Capital Improvement Projects. We are seeking a company with ample resources and flexibility to provide on-call services for construction testing services and special inspections. The construction testing company will report to the City’s Public Works Inspection team or an assigned Project Manager throughout the duration of the contract. The scope of professional services to be provided shall include all the necessary office and fieldwork necessary to prepare typed reports verifying and detailing results of tests, as well as other elements or modifications which may be suggested by consultants presenting proposals to better meet the needs of the City of Morgan Hill. A more detailed scope of services is attached as Exhibit “I”. Consultant Scoring Sheet Criteria as attached as Exhibit “II”. All services shall be provided in accordance with the City’s Standard Consultant Agreement attached as Exhibit “III.” A sample prepared compaction test result is attached as Exhibit “IV”. The consultant shall provide construction testing services on an on-call basis in support of the construction of municipal infrastructure in the public right-of-way at various locations in the City of Morgan Hill. Typical municipal infrastructure includes trenching, backfill, asphalt and concrete paving, water lines and services, sanitary storm and sewer lines, manholes. Curb, gutter, sidewalks, landscaping, streetlights, underground conduits and vaults. Typical testing services including soils testing, field compaction testing asphalt and concrete quality control and performance testing.
