The city is seeking developers capable of reimagining and redeveloping two high profile buildings in our downtown business district. The community continues to need quality rental housing and is simultaneously seeking to revitalize its downtown business corridor. The successful respondent to this RFP will be helping us get closer to achieving both of these goals. Developers should also demonstrate an understanding of the Osawatomie community, its needs, and the unique attributes and opportunities of the Osawatomie area. Developers should provide evidence of successful experience in developing and managing mixed use development projects and an ability to utilize existing tools to effectively restore these buildings and maximize their utilization and return on investment for not just the community, but the successful developer as well. The City of Osawatomie wishes to see these buildings restored and put back to effective use in the private sector and enjoyed by our residents for generations to come.
