Install all items located in the items section according to where they are identified per the attached map layout sheet for traffic control.(Attached TE 704) Maintenance: Replacing devices that are displaced (down), damaged, or may require basic updates/maintenance as needed. Removal- Once KDOT is completed with their project and no longer needs traffic control, the contractor must remove all items installed. Contractor shall follow KDOT Standard Specification including but not limited to Division 800 and the latest special provisions as well as any applicable KDOT standard drawings. Contractor shall contact Winfield Maintenance Superintendent Scott Kent at a minimum of 1 week prior to setting traffic control to coordinate efforts with local KDOT office and latest project schedule. Closure is anticipated for May 1st but is subject to change based on weather, KDOT schedule and other factors associated with culvert replacement project on K44. If, optional message boards are requested, they shall be placed as directed by the KDOT and shall have approved messages used when directed. All conflicting route markers and other signage along the detour route shall be covered or removed. Existing signs not shown at highway junctions shall remain in place unless otherwise directed by KDOT. Erect detour confirming assemblies in conjunction with existing route markers assemblies along detour route. These locations will need to checked by contractor prior to installation.
