A. A one (1) hour minimum is required for each assignment; thereafter, in thirty (30) minute increments. Note: the CHP will pay the industry standard of two (2) hours for one interpreter when services are needed for one (1) hour. B. All interpreters shall possess the following: 1) Current and valid certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) at the level of Certificate of Interpretation (Cl), Certificate of Transliteration (CT), or CI and CT (Certificate of Interpretation and Certificate of Transliteration) OR 2) National Association of the Deaf (NAD) or the American Consortium of Certified Interpreters (ACCI) with a level no less than Generalist (III), Advanced (Level IV), or Master (Level V). 3) The contracted Sign Language Interpreter(s) must be proficient in both interpreting the spoken English to ASL (voice to sign) and ASL to spoken English (sign to voice). C. RTC must be certified through The Association for Court Reporters and Captioners (NCRA) and must be able to accurately type conversations using transcription equipment designed to follow conversations at normal speeds. D. The Contractor may be required to provide a second interpreter/RTC provider for services of more than one (1) hour, consistent with standard practices within the interpreting/captioning profession. E. Interpreters and RTC providers assigned to provide the services requested must provide for their own transportation, equipment, and meals. The interpreters and RTC providers must arrive at the location with enough time to clear building security protocols and set up equipment to begin services at the time requested. F. RTC providers shall: 1) Provide and set up their own equipment prior to the time scheduled. 2) Provide a viewing screen of at least 15 inches; and
