This project will focus on gathering information about potential properties for annexation and updating the existing Impact Fee Schedule. The project’s final deliverable will: • Determine which unincorporated parcels would experience an overall improvement in governance, representation, and levels of service if they were to be annexed. • Evaluate if there are logical annexation phases; if so, identify the impacts of each separate phase and recommend phasing order. • Analyze how any negative impacts on the city may be mitigated or reduced. • Assess the feasibility of the city’s existing Impact Fee formula component. Annexation Plan Activities • Review documents and data from the city of Peachtree City and Fayette County, where available. • Interview and consider comments from Peachtree City’s City Council, Planning Commission, City Manager, Planning Director, Police Department, Fire Department, Engineering Department, Public Works Department, any other city staff, and neighboring/regional jurisdictions, as necessary. • Conduct site visits to the city. • A minimum of two (2) on-site presentations of the final report shall be required for the city’s Mayor and Council and for a public meeting.
