Universal Design: ○ The tool should be adaptive, utilizing various intervention strategies. ○ The tool should incorporate Universal Design for Learning principles and provide various flexible learning options and opportunities for engagement. ○ The tool facilitates flexible learning environments and spaces to provide students with multiple ways to access content, engage in their learning, and demonstrate it. It includes developing and using grade-specific units to support students in developing standards-aligned learning. ○ The tool enables educators to address learner variability and promote learner agencies. ○ The tool must provide the formation of periodic assessments and allow for daily progress monitoring by students, teachers, and parents. Schools, Regions, and overall District usage and achievement are reported quarterly. ● Content: ○ The content is age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and should not be distracting or upsetting for students. ○ The tool should include a teacher dashboard, at minimum, a school-level dashboard, and a District dashboard.
