A. Service provision 1. Provide direct support to individuals and families experiencing challenges including but not limited to homelessness, food insecurity, health care and childcare needs, drug or alcohol use disorders. 2. Provide support to individuals who have or at risk of developing opioid use disorder and any co-occurring substance abuse/mental health conditions. 3. Provide services in a way that is convenient for patrons, providing drop-in support at the Library and also connecting with patrons throughout the building and property to build relationships, offer support, and assist in de-escalating tense situations. 4. Provide consistent direct service drop-in hours to include at least 3 days per week including Saturdays. B. Collaboration 1. Work cooperatively with library staff, other key city staff, and community organizations to create an integrated approach to social services provision. 2. Participate in relevant community meetings to identify opportunities to collaborate. 3. Provide training to library staff about social services best practices and community needs. 4. Ensure knowledge, skills and abilities are up to date by participating in relevant training. C. Monitoring and Reporting 1. Maintain accurate records of services provided. 2. Utilize Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to coordinate support across service providers. 3. Prepare monthly reports to library administration about the impact of services provided and including recommendations for service improvements.
