The City of Worcester, through its Department of Public Works & Parks, is offering for sale surplus unscreened compost for bid to the highest bidder. Bidders are to take the entire amount of 5,000 cubic yards. Removal of the surplus unscreened compost for the Department of Public Works & Parks is to be scheduled with Mr. Dave Harris at 508-929-1300. Please give at least a one-day notice, site is open Monday thru Friday, 7:30am to 3:00pm. The successful high bidder will be responsible for the removal of this surplus unscreened compost within 60 days after bid award. The contracted vendor must provide all equipment and labor to remove the unscreened compost. The City of Worcester Department of Public Works & Parks is selling approximately 3,000 cubic yards of ¾” screened, untested compost, which is the end product of the municipal leaf and yard waste collection programs.
