The Maryland Department of Health (MDH or the Department), Center for Firearm Violence Prevention and Intervention (the Center), is issuing this Request for Applications (RFA) for a nonprofit organization to lead a statewide domestic violence protective order firearm surrender process needs assessment and complete a written analysis and report of implementers’ feedback, including opinions, testimony, identified problems and assets, and recommendations. In addition to the written analysis and report, the project will include the planning and execution of a working group convening to capture existing and potential opportunities and resources that can be leveraged as well as gaps in programs and policies that the Center could address.
