(c) All manhole, water valve, and other utility frames and covers shall be installed a half-inch below finished grade in all paved areas. (d) All roads directly associated with this project are owned by Town of Mount Airy, including South Main Street between MD27 and Ridgeville Blvd, South Main Street Extended (to the South and ending near the I-70 ramp), and Rising Ridge Rd. Contractor shall submit a Maryland SHA approved maintenance of traffic (MOT) plan to the Town Engineer for approval prior to closing a lane for construction. (e) There will be no full road closures for this project and adequate maintenance of traffic shall be modified as necessary to provide acceptable two-way traffic movement, regardless of previously approved MOT plans. Lane closures, for setting up MOT< will be limited between the hours of 9am to 3pm, Mon – Fri (no holidays), unless otherwise specifically approved by the Town Engineer. Normal construction activities can occur 7am – 7pm when MOT barriers are in place. (f) The town will provide a limited staging area for the project, on the parcel being constructed and/or another Town-owned parcel to be approved by the Engineer. The Contractor shall coordinate with local parcel owners if additional and more convenient staging area is necessary.
