The Provider is to provide MRB services for the CSU systemwide. The purpose of the CSU MRB is to improve the quality of CSU new construction, remodel, renovation, and repair building projects as well as offer strategic guidance in support of CSU policies and goals. The members of the CSU MRB shall all be qualified Professional Engineers. The services provided shall consist of, but not limited to, the following elements: 1. Act in an advisory role to the campus shall work to promote CSU Capital projects and energy related projects that are designed for efficient operation, optimum energy utilization, lowest life cycle costs, and to exceed minimum energy codes and regulations. 2. Provide guidance on strategic initiatives related to CSU carbon reduction goals. 3. Serve as a member of the CSU MRB and provide necessary support to the CSU system consistent with the purpose of the MRB, Bylaws, and Code of Conduct. 4. Gain familiarity with the CSU systemwide processes, procedures, and policies for the design of new and remodeled facilities with an emphasis on sustainable design with minimal environmental impact and lowest possible maintenance costs. 5. Provide support to improve CSU systemwide processes, procedures, and policies for the design of new, renovated, and remodeled facilities and energy projects. 6. Provide support to improve CSU systemwide processes, procedures for the life cycle cost analysis for the envelope, mechanical systems, and electrical systems. 7. Provide recommendations related to operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. 8. Analyze the findings from various mechanical, electrical, and related building systems’ reviews under a separate agreement and recommend strategies to improve future CSU projects. 9. Provide letters of determination in cases whereby the nature of an individual project’s mechanical or electrical systems does not warrant a formal review. 10. Keep CSU informed of the latest trends in the equipment and system technologies for the design of new, renovated, and remodeled facilities. 11. Provide counsel on the construction delivery methods in the context of mechanical and electrical systems performance. 12. Provide minutes of MRB meetings.
