The following scope of services is included as a guide for individuals or companies submitting responses to this request for proposals. This request is intended to identify the minimum service level expected from the successful firm and, as such, should be modified and augmented, based upon the experience of the firm, as necessary, to accurately reflect their capacity to complete the scope of services as required by Lenoir County Soil & Water and Division StRAP policy. The firm selected through this process will enter into an agreement with Lenoir County to provide stream debris removal, clearing, and cabling services for various streams in Lenoir County on a task order basis. The streams with sections that have been prioritized for debris removal include: • Bear Creek – 500 LF; occurs between -77.815993, 35.347118 to-77.789092, 35.267729 • Deep Run – 6,400 LF; occurs between -77.746003, 35.127668 to -77.696374, 35.146726 • Eagle Swamp – 2,500 LF; occurs between -77.4728, 35.3631 to -77.4281, 35.3550 • Falling Creek – 5,000 LF; occurs between -77.732724, 35.373222 to -77.695505, 35.271136 • Gray’s Branch – 3,000 LF; occurs between -77.718306, 35.126637 to -77.737630, 35.117660 • Ground Nut Creek – 5,000 LF; occurs between -77.768688, 35.367525 to -77.756544, 35.338531 • Hornpipe Branch – 5,230 LF; occurs between -77.663973, 35.130898 to -77.669234, 35.142813 • Moseley Creek - 2,500 LF; occurs between -77.724179, 35.309292 to -77.731582, 35.312157 • Southwest Creek – 600 LF; occurs between -77.539693, 35.232172 to -77.758254, 35.130473 • Spring Branch – 1,500 LF; occurs between -77.584718, 35.180985 to -77.605676, 35.190990 • Vine Swamp Creek – 5,000 LF; occurs between -77.530350, 35.152097 to -77.555938, 35.157518 The County might not have sufficient funds to mitigate the needs in all these stream sections; therefore, the selected firm will be expected to provide a recommended list of priority areas to be approved on a task order basis by the Lenoir County Soil & Water Conservation District Board and the Lenoir County Board of County Commissioners. Also note that the Lenoir County Soil & Water Department reserves the right to adjust creek segment priorities, location, and length as deemed necessary throughout the duration of the project.
