Approximately 305 tons dry weight Ferric Chloride (FeCl3) per year is currently used and is ordered in 4,000-gallon tankers as required. The City reserves the right to order more or less of the material as needed. Physical Data Requirements; Ferric Chloride - Ferric Chloride must meet the following physical data: specific gravity 1.3 to 1.5 solubility in water must be complete, 25 – 45% solution; particulate 0.1% by volume. Pricing – Unit to be priced USD/TON dry weight (FeCl3) Delivered. Pre-requisite to the submission of a Chemical Bid: The supplier and/or supplier’s agent must send a representative sample of the Ferric Chloride as well as a Safety Data Sheet and typical certificate of analysis for which a bid will be submitted at least one (1) week prior to the date of the bid opening. At the discretion of the Chief Operator, Pollution Control Facility 315-785- 7840, this pre-requisite may be waived.
