a. Patient Care 1) Comprehensive Podiatric Evaluations: a) Conduct thorough medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments of patients presenting with foot and ankle conditions. b) Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including radiographs, ultrasounds, and other imaging studies as necessary. c) Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses. 2) Treatment of Foot and Ankle Conditions: a) Provide non-surgical and surgical management of a wide range of podiatric conditions, including but not limited to: i. Ingrown toenails, fungal nails, and other nail disorders. ii. Plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and other tendon and ligament injuries. iii. Bunions, hammertoes, and other deformities. iv. Diabetic foot care, including wound management and preventative measures. v. Warts, corns, and calluses. vi. Foot and ankle fractures, sprains, and dislocations. vii. Biomechanics and gait analysis. b) Perform surgical procedures as required, adhering to established surgical protocols and standards of care. c) Provide post-operative care and follow-up appointments. d) Prescribe and manage medications. e) Provide footwear, boots for patients with fracture if needed, orthotics, post-op shoes insoles, etc. 3) Preventative Care and Patient Education: a) Educate patients on proper foot hygiene, footwear selection, and preventative measures to maintain foot health. b) Provide diabetic foot care education and preventative strategies. c) Offer guidance on orthotics and other assistive devices.
