The purpose ofthis RFA isto fund eligible organizationsto implement evidence-based, high-impact strategiesto address the opioid overdose epidemic in Wayne County, North Carolina. In addition, this RFA builds capacity and local infrastructure to respond to the overdose crisisin Wayne County, North Carolina. The goals of the RFA are to : 1. Enhance community efforts to develop and/or expand evidence-based programs and resources to address opioid use disorder. 2. Build capacity and infrastructure to measure the impact of programs and prevent fatal and nonfatal overdoses in Wayne County. 3. Reduce overdose deaths and emergency department visits in Wayne County. 4. Strengthen community partnerships to improve access to care related to opioid use disorder.
