The selected consulting firm will be required to: 1. Facility Assessment: o Conduct a thorough inspection of all Public Works facilities, including but not limited to buildings, equipment, storage areas, and other related infrastructure. o Identify existing deficiencies, safety hazards, and areas requiring repair or improvement. o Evaluate facility capacity against current and future needs. o Assess compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including ADA, OSHA, and environmental standards. 2. Operational Evaluation: o Review current operations to assess efficiency, including workflows, resource allocation, and staff utilization. o Analyze the use of technology, automation, and other tools to improve service delivery o Provide recommendations for operational improvements, including cost-saving strategies and best practices. 3. Energy and Environmental Review: o Evaluate energy usage and sustainability initiatives at the facilities. o Provide recommendations for reducing energy consumption, improving sustainability, and reducing environmental impact. o Assess the adequacy of the facility’s waste management practices and recommend improvements where necessary. 4. Report and Recommendations: o Provide a comprehensive report detailing findings from the facility evaluation, including: Short-term and long-term facility maintenance needs Recommendations for improvements to operational efficiency Potential cost-saving initiatives Recommendations for future growth and expansion needs 5. Public Works Strategy: o Offer a strategic plan for facility upgrades and improvements, prioritizing projects based on urgency, safety, and potential cost savings. o Assist with the identification of potential funding sources for recommended improvements.
