Scope of work includes: There are two buildings involved in this project. Brief descriptions of each are below. More detailed specifications are located in the General Requirements section. Building YWC 29 (Blackout House) is a two story “A-Frame” wood frame residence of approximately 1,100 square feet located on the Cat Island portion of the Tom Yawkey Wildlife Center. The scope of work for this building includes: Removal and disposal of existing asphalt shingle roofs. Inspect the existing roof sheathing, fascia and soffit and replace sections that are designated by the OWNER to be damaged or rotten. Remove and replace all flashing and drip edge. Remove and replace all plumbing vent boots Re-nail any loose sheathing Cover sheathing GAF Shingle-Mate Roof Deck Protection or approved equal. Install new 30-year Architectural shingles, green in color Thorough site cleaning using magnet around facility Building YWC 13 (South Island Office) is a two-story wood frame building of approximately 4,000 square feet located on the South Island portion of the Tom Yawkey Wildlife Center. The scope of work for this building includes: Remove several roof mounted antennas. These will not be reinstalled. Removal and disposal of existing asphalt shingle roofs. Inspect the sections of flat roof on the second floor and porch to ensure that it has no leaks or deficiencies. Replace any sections that are designated by the OWNER to be damaged, rotten or deficient. Inspect the existing roof sheathing, fascia and soffit and replace sections that are designated by the OWNER to be damaged or rotten. Remove and replace all flashing and drip edge that are in poor condition. Remove and replace all plumbing vent boots. Re-nail any loose sheathing Cover sheathing GAF Shingle-Mate Roof Deck Protection or approved equal. Install new 30-year Architectural shingles, green in color Thorough site cleaning using magnet around facility Ensure all gutters and downspouts are clear of roofing materials at the completion of the job.
