Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) is seeking a qualified co-sourcing partner to supplement the Internal Audit Department. This partnership is intended to enhance the capacity and expertise of the internal audit function, ensuring comprehensive coverage of high-risk areas and effective execution of audit engagements. Purpose of the Co-Sourcing Partnership JCPS currently employs a team of five to six full-time internal audit staff with diverse backgrounds and specialties. While the in-house team provides valuable oversight, the co-sourcing partner will play a critical role in expanding both the workforce capacity and the depth of specialized expertise available for audit engagements. This arrangement will allow the Internal Audit Department to: • Increase audit coverage in high-risk areas. • Leverage specialized expertise in complex audit topics. • Adapt to fluctuating workloads and emerging risks. Types of Audits and Projects The selected firm will collaborate with JCPS Internal Audit on various engagements, including: • Assurance Audits – Evaluating internal controls, compliance, financial reporting, and risk management practices. • Compliance Audits – Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, grant requirements, and district policies. • Performance Audits – Assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of district programs and processes.
