Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The Department of Conservation (MDC) and the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) both require a contract for Mercury Marine brand-specific motors/drives and miscellaneous parts, supplies, and accessories for their current Mercury Marine products. MDC and MSHP are heavily invested in the Mercury brand and both state agency’s mechanics have completed extensive Mercury Marine training and are certified by Mercury Marine. In addition, both MDC and MSHP rely on parts compatibility and interchangeability to economize on usage and repair costs. Furthermore, MDC and MSHP require a training program and online ordering system, which is proprietary and only provided by Mercury Marine. Mercury Marine is the only feasible source from which to acquire the online ordering system since they are the sole manufacturer of the MercNET and Diagnostic Tool CDS G3. As a result, this represents a proprietary requirement that meets the criteria as a single feasible source under RSMo 34.044 and the State is pursuing this acquisition as a Single Feasible Source.
