The LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans (LSUHSC) requests bids for Medical Waste Disposal; This shall establish a contract for the pick-up and disposal of regulated medical waste and potentially infectious biomedical waste, as defined by OSHSA, Louisiana Department of Health, and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality for the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - New Orleans (LSUHSC). The Service Provider agrees to provide the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - New Orleans (LSUHSC) the service of removal and hauling of the above-described medical waste onto transportation vehicles,the transportation ofthe above-described regulated medical waste from LSUHSC to an authorized disposal facility, and the disposal ofthe described medical waste, in a manner permitted by law. The annual average volume is expected to be approximately 140,000 pounds (quantity not guaranteed). Estimated volume per pick up location is 60% from the Clinical Sciences Research Building, 30% from the School of Dentistry, and 10% from the Medical Education Building. The other four locations are minimal.
