The following materials and equipment are to be provided to the abatement site by the Contractor in instances where the scope of the work calls for them in addition to those listed in Section 2.1. 2.2.a. NIOSH approved negative air units that conform to ANSI Z9.2-79, equipped with HEPA filters rated at 99.97% removal of particles of 0.3 microns. All HEPA units must be Polyalpha Olefine (PAO) challenged by EH&S within the past 6 months prior to use at ISU. A tag will be placed on each unit once it has passed the PAO challenge. Untagged or past due units must not be used. 2.2.b. Shower facilities, either portable or built on-site type, with sufficient hot and cold water and filtration capability (a system containing a series of several filters with progressively smaller pore sizes which permit rapid filtration is recommended). 2.2.c. Electric airless sprayer for applying encapsulating material and/or amended water. High pressure [1500 psi] and low pressure [500 psi] should be available on-site and utilized as required. Various nozzle tip sizes should be available to allow for variance of the viscosity and percentage of solids in the encapsulants.
