The Town of Farmington owns and operates conventional municipal radio systems comprised of a multitude of components from the Police and Fire Departments on various frequency pairs. Parts of the infrastructure are installed in various locations in the Town of Farmington including the Public Safety Communications Center in the Farmington Police Department and several radio sites. Additionally, there are 91 Motorola 800MHz portables and 40 Kenwood mobile radios that may require repairs. The Police Department’s Communications Division Supervisor manages the system and user equipment. This bid pertains to user equipment within the Town of Farmington Police Department only; the Fire and Public Works departments maintain their user equipment separate from this bid. Bidders may elect to bid on Part I, Fixed-End Equipment & Infrastructure, or Part II, User Equipment, or both Parts I and II. Favorable consideration will be given to a vendor that can provide the Town with both services. Additionally, all bidders must submit hourly rates to provide services for work beyond the scope of this contract such as for mobile installations on a time and materials basis.
