The consultant will be responsible for planning and managing all necessary renovations, including but not limited to: • Soundproofing & Acoustics o Design and install additional soundproofed walls to isolate the studio from external noise. In the reference image, the walls with a red line need to be demolished, well insulated, variable studded, and re-sheet rocked for optimal sound proofing between the studio and office space. o Implement 4” thick drop ceiling panels for enhanced floor-to-ceiling sound absorption. o The City of Kyle currently owns 41 4” thick GIK Acoustic drop ceiling tiles that can be used but will not cover the entire area. The ceiling height in the studio space at its highest peak is 18 ft. and 15 ft. at its lowest. The ceiling should be no less than 12 ft. tall to establish controllable room acoustics and implementation of a lighting grid. o Adding acoustic treatment to walls and surfaces in the studio space to achieve best possible tonal accuracy and reverberation (RT60). o Mobile thick gobo sound panels to move around the studio for spatial dampening when recording voice overs, foley, etc. o Acquiring and installing a high mass & density soundproof door to prevent unwanted sound from leaking into and out the studio...
