GENERAL DESCRIPTION: • This Bid is for a qualified firm to provide Grease and Grit Removal and Disposal Services for the Town of Groton Conn. Water Pollution Control Dept. The contract shall be effective from the date of award and ending June 30, 2026. Work Description: • Grit removal from two grit chambers twice per year at the Treatment Plant, • Grease Removal from one wet well at least once per year at the Treatment Plant, • Grit and Grease Removal from 9 town wide pump stations once per year, • Grit and Grease Removal from 3 town wide pump stations twice per year. • Provide off-site disposal of all removed grease and grit. The Town of Groton does not have disposal facilities or approved site. The intent is to completely remove all Grit and Grease from the well to restore them to original design capacity.
