SCOPE OF SERVICE The County intends to contract with a single contractor to prepare and deliver meals. This will include, but is not limited to: ▪ Supply quality meals using the approved menu that meets the Dietary guidelines for the Older American Act and the Georgia Division of Aging guidelines ▪ Shall perform a nutritional analysis of the menu for compliance and deliver the finding to the Dawson County Senior Services Director, or the designee County staff, with each menu change ▪ All menu changes mut be preapproved by the Senior Services Director, or the designee County staff member no later than the week prior to changes ▪ Quarterly Menu Sample including Frozen box rotation, shall be provided to the Senior Services Director, or the designee ▪ Meals served comply with all federal, state and local health ordinances and nutrition program standards for food handling, processing, temperatures and food safety. (refer to nutrition standards) ▪ Meals are to be sent to each site in bulk serving containers for congregate meals and/or individual packaging for home delivered meals. Contractor shall assume responsibility for timely delivery of said meals between the hours of 08:30A.M. and 9:45 A.M. Meals shall be provided Monday through Friday of each week. Serving utensils and any needed supplies will be included.
