A) BID ITEM 1: Lake Edge Repair--Area 1: 1. Install interlocking sheet pile wall coffer dam to follow existing shoreline’s contour—185 lf. See site plan below. a. Water level around shoreline is 4’ to 5’ deep. Cofferdam to be designed to withstand hydrostatic pressure. b. Cofferdam to be hot-dipped galvanized steel or fiberglass reinforced sheet piling. c. Dewater area behind cofferdam. 2. Demolish existing 11’- wide asphalt pathway and concrete curbwall along length of 185 lf cofferdam. Dust control and erosion control measures shall be implemented. Offhaul spoils. 3. Excavate area behind cofferdam to install 6” reinforced concrete wall behind cofferdam. a. Soil stabilization measures must be implemented, including shoring or benching, if necessary. 4. Form and pour 6” wide concrete wall behind the coffer dam with rebar. 4000 psi mix. a. Vertical reinforcement i. #5 rebar at 12 “ O.C. ii. Centered within the 6” wall thickness with a minimum of 1.5” concrete cover. b. Horizontal reinforcement i. #4 rebar at 18 inches O.C. 5. Pour concrete cap on top of cofferdam to match existing shoreline curb—6” width. 4000 psi mix. 6. Install new 2x8 plastic lumber headerboard to match existing. 7. Install new 3” hot mix asphalt pathway on 6” class II base rock. Width to match existing—11’ wide. a. AB to be compacted to 95% A) BID ITEM 2: Lake Edge Repair—Area 2: a. Same repair process as described in Bid Item 1, but for 30 lf area on the opposite side of the lake. See site plan below.
