The selected contractor will be responsible for: 1. Shelter Operations & Animal Care o Operating and maintaining an animal shelter as an animal housing facility for the benefit of Santa Fe residents. o Accepting and caring for stray, impounded, or surrendered animals as required by City regulations. o Carrying out all duties relating to rabid and biting animals, including confinement and coordination with public health authorities. o Holding animals for the legally required period and managing their disposition, including adoption, transfer, or euthanasia as determined by the contractor’s licensed veterinarian. o Providing veterinary care under the direction of the contractor’s licensed veterinarian, including emergency medical services. o Managing the sterilization and return of healthy feral cats or their placement in managed colonies...
