Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project involves the expansion of a 1.48-mile-long, 10-foot-wide concrete trail as part of the Howard W. Peak Greenway Trails System, specifically, the Salado Creek Greenway extension. This segment will connect Perrin Homestead to Lady Bird Johnson Park (LBJ), linking the existing sidewalk at Perrin Homestead to the established trailhead at LBJ Park. Excavation, grading and installation of a 10-foot-wide concrete trail with 24” toe downs, limestone riprap, and elevated boardwalks with limestone-armored swales. Overlook concrete pad with stone and shaded canopy, retaining walls, pedestrian street crossing, and asphalt/fence demolition. All construction will adhere to ADA specifications to ensure accessibility. Limestone landscape walls, limestone seating (butter sticks), rest nodes, boulders, bollards, buffalo grass sod (minimum 2' along edges), hydroseed (native grass mix), and erosion control measures, including SWPPP compliance. Installation of various warning signs, mile markers, wayfinding markers, and upgraded monument/kiosk/trail rules and regulations signage.
