a. Contractor shall provide all expertise, labor, tools, equipment, traffic control, personnel safety gear and safety training and incidentals necessary to perform tree pruning, skirting, chipping, tree removal and disposal costs. Contractor shall be responsible for proper and legal disposal of all debris generated by tree operations. Trees felled in Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park may be hauled to the log deck if authorized Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) designee. b. Tree trimming, pruning and removal of trees or branches for the following tree species: Coast Live Oak, California Bay Laurel, Monterey Pine, Coast Redwood, Tan Oak or other species. Chainsaws will be used to fell or trim identified trees, and a chipper will be used to chip branches and small logs. c. Services shall consist of pruning, thinning, skirting, removal, chipping, and clean-up of trees within State Parks units and facilities. Contractors shall dispose of any debris resulting from the services. Requests shall be written to help control traffic hazards, fire hazards, sight lines and maintain overgrowth of various types and sizes of trees.
