Work shall consist of corrosion inspection, testing and monitoring services for reclaimed and potable water pumping, storage, and distribution and transmission mains, water treatment plant piping and storage, and wastewater systems. Corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection system components may include, but are not limited to, cathodic protection rectifiers, anodes, reference electrodes, corrosion test stations (CTS), wiring, connections, joint bonds, and isolation related components. Where applicable, the contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits required to complete the work. In accordance with generally accepted Industry practices, the contractor will be solely and completely responsible for conditions of the job site, including safety of all persons and property during performance of the work including required traffic control. Pending the requirements of traffic control some work may be required to be performed after hours, such as work near existing Light Rail system. Corrosion testing services for the structures, facilities, and pipelines described under Scope of Work Section 1 may consist of one or more of the following: obtain field readings utilizing a calibrated voltmeter and reference electrode. Collect structure-to-electrolyte potential measurements. Collect casing-to-electrolyte potentials to ascertain casing and carrier pipe isolation. Collect flange/joint isolation measurements. Collect impressed-current system measurements and provide necessary system adjustments.
