1. The Contractor shall comply with the Specifications, City Standard Details of Construction, City Code, and adhere to all current regulations of NYSDOL, NYSDOB, OSHA and all other involved regulatory authorities having jurisdiction. 2. The scope of work generally includes but is not limited to saw cutting, excavation to desired subgrade, removal and disposal of tree stumps and/or roots, removal and disposal of damaged sidewalk flags, curbs and aforementioned items, mechanical compaction of subgrade, placement of 6” of NYSDOT item 304.11 base material, mechanical compaction of base material, setting forms, pouring, finishing, curing concrete, and stripping forms for sidewalks and curbs. 3. The work also includes resetting existing Bluestone sidewalk flags or furnishing and installing new Bluestone sidewalk flags, installation of detective warning tiles, as well as the reconstruction of amenity strips between curb and sidewalk areas as dictated by City Standard Details of Construction. 4. Areas disrupted by this work are to be fully restored at a minimum to their previous condition, including but not limited to final grading, topsoil, seeding and straw, and reconnecting of existing drainage pipe. All concrete to be used must be PRE-MIX concrete (on-site mixing is not allowed). All work is to be done in accordance with the City of New Rochelle’s standard details for the respective items. All locations carry in quantity and condition. Proposed unit pricing shall be loaded to include contractors’ insurance, general conditions, overhead and profit. 5. All maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) required at work locations to provide the safe passage of vehicles and pedestrians shall be included in the contract bid prices. MPT may include advance warning signs, detour signs, cones, barrels caution tape and/or flaggers for proper MPT at each location. No additional cost will be accepted for MPT practices.
