1. Current Conditions and Engagement Inventory a. Inventory types of transportation projects that the City undertakes and the typical engagement currently done with the projects b. Review of how the Let’s Talk Streets initiative is/is not being used with the different types of transportation projects 2. Development of a Let’s Talk Streets Public Involvement Strategy a. Develop a plan that builds upon the City’s Public Participation Resource Guide and integrates Let’s Talk Streets to provide a guide for staff working on public involvement for transportation projects b. Develop recommendations for the types of projects that will follow the Let’s Talk Streets Transportation Engagement Plan c. Provide recommendations related to building partnerships with community organizations, neighborhood groups, or other stakeholders that will improve public involvement. 3. Toolkit a. Work with staff to identify tools needed to help staff carry out engagement activities in the Let’s Talk Streets Public Involvement Strategy b. Create engagement templates based on identified needs and based on available budget c. Explore and recommend technology options to assist with public involvement d. Recommend a process for tracking and sharing feedback and engagement outcomes/contacts
