The contractor shall furnish the following materials, work, and services. Use ground application equipment to chemically control invasive species on Fort McClellan Army National Guard Training Center (FM-ARNGTC), Clarke Range Complex (Range), in accordance with rules and specifications as stated below. All pesticides, application equipment, surfactants, indicator dyes, and labor to apply them shall be provided by the contractor as part of this contract. Stand Descriptions: The areas to be treated are located throughout the Range. The sites selected for chemical control shall be divided into three types - sites that are infested with predominately kudzu, bicolor lespedeza or privet species. Herbicides used to control unwanted vegetation near water or wetlands must be aquatic approved. Three separate prescriptions shall be used for these sites. The majority of kudzu, bicolor, and privet treatment areas are re-treatments from previous applications. The pesticide prescriptions for each section are listed in the following section. (Other herbicides may be used if approved prior to use by the Fort McClellan Forester. Any proposed herbicides must be listed as Department of Defense (DoD) approved.) Chemical prescriptions: The contractor shall mix chemicals for application onsite. Containers, herbicide labels, and SDS’s shall be made available for inspection by FM-ARNGTC staff on demand. Water for herbicide solutions can be supplied from water point on Gate 3 Rd, Clarke Range Complex. Records of pesticide use, and application rates shall be provided to the Environmental Office after the work is complete. This will include percent active ingredient, and total pounds of all active ingredients applied for all herbicide applications. Herbicide application shall also be submitted on approved log sheets.
