NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed proposals will be received at the City of Pekin, 111 South Capitol Street, Pekin, Illinois, until 2:00 P.M., April 17, 2025, and at that time publicly opened and read. The proposed project officially known as for COURT STREET REHABILITATION – 10th STREET to STADIUM DRIVE includes milling and overlaying the existing pavement, pavement patching, constructing new curbs, gutters and sidewalks, storm sewer improvements, water main construction, entrance pavement and landscaping. Specifications and proposal forms are issued through Hanson Professional Services Inc., 1300 W. Commerce Dr., Suite 200, Peoria, IL 61615, Phone Number (309) 713-1402. Before plans and specifications may be obtained, contractors must be pre-qualified. Electronic documents are available by providing contact information (company name, contact name, phone number, fax number and email address) in an email request to cloos@hanson-inc.com. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty as provided in Section 102 of the “Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction” prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation: a Bid Bond, or a proposal guarantee of cash, a Bank Cashier Check, or a properly certified check made payable to the City of Pekin, for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act is required under this contract. The City of Pekin reserves the right to reject any or all proposals as provided in Section 102 of the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction,” and LRS6 Recurring Special Provision, prepared by the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois.
