The Division of Ecological Restoration (DER), Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game, intends to post a Request for Response (RFR) and require online submissions. The RFR will seek proposals to remove or replace undersized, perched, and/or degraded culverts located in areas of high ecological value within the Commonwealth. It will be supported through the Culvert Replacement Municipal Assistance (CRMA) Grant Initiative. The purpose of this grant initiative is to encourage municipalities to remove or replace culverts with better designed crossings that meet improved structural and environmental design standards and climate resiliency criteria. Applicants are solely responsible to monitor COMMBUYS for amendments to this announcement, if any, and for the complete RFR posting, if any. Applicants may monitor the site through publicly accessible search and browse tools in addition to visiting DER’s website.
