Ames Transit Agency, dba: CyRide is accepting bids for a lifting consisting of four (4) mobile column lifts with the option to purchase an additional two (2) mobile column lifts. 1. General Description: 1.1 This bid is for the purchase of four (4) identical and interchangeable column lifts for CyRide, with the option to include an additional two (2) column lifts for a total of six (6) lifts to be used as a lifting system. 1.2 A lifting system shall be a set consisting of four columns which shall be completely identical and interchangeable. The size of the set shall be able to be configured by the operator as one to four columns at the time of set up. The system shall have the ability to support up to six columns in a lifting set. 1.3 Each column shall contain its own power supply which consists of two deep cycle (group 31) 12 VDC batteries combined to provide a stable 24 VDC power supply. 1.4 The primary power circuit shall include overload protection between the main power source and the motor/control circuits. 1.5 When fully charged, the on board battery power system shall be capable of at a minimum 20 lifting/lowering cycles at 100% of lifting capacity. 1.6 The recharging system shall be a built in 110 VAC multi-stage battery charger with status indicators. 2. Lifting Capacity: 2.1 Each individual column shall have a minimum nominal rated capacity of 18,500 lbs. 3. Dimensions: 3.1 The lifting height of each column shall be no less than 72 inches, measured from the foundation to the top of the lifting fork. 3.2 Column lifting fork shall be between 14 and 18 inches in length. 4. Tire Size: Wheel contact forks shall be adjustable by hand and freely accept tires with rim diameters between R12 and R22.5. The adjustable forks shall incorporate a mechanical locking device to ensure the fork cannot relocate/adjust during use.
