• The nonhazardous residual solids consist of dewatered aluminum sulfate and carbon sludge from the water treatment process. • The lagoon measures 124 ft wide by 340 ft long and the volume of sludge is estimated to be 3,935 cubic yards. • There is an eight-inch pipe under the lagoon which will be located by DWP Staff and marked accordingly. • The estimated material weight is 1800 lbs./cubic yard with an estimated total weight of 3,550 tons. • Analysis of the residual solid’s composition is attached. Any additional testing required for disposal shall be conducted by the City. • All reasonable efforts should be made to conduct work during dry weather. • Work may take place at any point during the months of June through October 2025. • Allowable work hours are Monday-Saturday between 7:00am and 7:00pm. • All work must be completed by November 1, 2025. • All appropriate measures shall be taken to conduct the work in a clean and safe manner in compliance with all related rules and regulations. • The DWP is located in a residential neighborhood. Efforts should be made to minimize disruption and noise to the surrounding areas. • Restoration of DWP property (i.e. driveways, fixtures, pipes, gates, buildings, landscaping) are required in the case of damage beyond normal wear from excavation and hauling activities. Such restoration shall be the responsibility of the contractor.
