Consultant shall provide the following services: Mutually develop and implement a strategic federal engagement plan to increase the City’s profile in front of key federal policymakers – in the legislative and executive branches – benefiting the City’s visibility, support, economic development goals and potential funding opportunities. Develop and implement a messaging strategy through briefing materials, legislative text, one pagers, slide decks and other supporting materials to tell the City’s story. Draft and/or review federal appropriations request letters and forms; and transmit (or han d deliver if necessary to meet deadlines) applications and key documents to federal agencies and departments. Organize and participate in federal lobbying and national organization meetings with City staff, Mayor and City Council members as needed. Work closely with congressional offices and key decision makers by providing information and attending sub-committee and committee meetings when necessary to advocate for the City.
