OWASA would like to construct a storage warehouse at the Mason Farm WWTP to store maintenance and facilities related equipment. Mason Farm Wastewater Treatment Plant is located at 170 Old Mason Farm Rd in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The warehouse will include at least one conditioned space for electrical equipment storage and testing. OWASA has identified a location on the site for the warehouse, at the recently demolished UNC Lab Facility as shown in Figure 1. OWASA has recently completed a space needs assessment for the warehouse (Attachment 1). The purpose of this space needs assessment was to assess the current and long-term needs with an emphasis on equipment storage, translate those needs into a building program, and develop a conceptual plan and project budget for planning purposes.
