Jefferson County (County) will consider submitting applications in each of the next three years to secure federal funding for its county-wide Housing Improvement Program under the NYS Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The purpose of this program is to improve living conditions by promoting repair and rehabilitation of the local housing stock. Technical assistance will be provided to help property owners identify eligible improvements, to help find local contractors who can perform that work, and to assure that all rehabilitation activities are completed in a satisfactory manner in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations. Financial assistance will be available to help pay the cost of eligible improvements.
