The HVAC replacement project consists of the replacement of the existing roof top HVAC units with new HVAC units on the existing modular classroom buildings as indicated on the plans. Additional work includes the removal and replacement of the mechanical equipment platiorms with new framing to support the new equipment, minor roof patching around the units, and the electrical and mechanical work needed to reconnect the new units to the existing ductwork below the roofs and the existing power supply. There is minor sitework to upgrade the existing accessible parking stalls and to install a protected pedestrian path of travel from the public right-of-way to the point of entry to the campus. Minor restroom upgrades are to be made in the existing restrooms to reinstall existing restroom accessories and relocate some plumbing fixtures to meet current accessibility codes. New guard rails are to be installed at the two existing hi-lo drinking fountains, and new accessibility signage shall be provided at the parking lot and at the restrooms.
