The Work included in this Project consists of Love Court Storm Water Pipe Improvement. The Town is issuing this IFB is to secure a qualified General Contractor to perform the Work and provide Materials as more particularly described in the Specifications/Scope, and incorporated herein by reference. Bidders must submit Bids encompassing the entire Project, inclusive of the related Plans and/or Construction Drawings. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the Bid is nonresponsive. Scope of Services: 1. Temporary Access Road Construction: o Construct a temporary 10’ wide access road from Sterling Way to the end of the pipe to allow equipment and personnel access to the work site (see Exhibit C). o Appropriate erosion control measures shall be installed, including a measure to prevent track out of sediment and material onto the adjacent street. o Any trees removed to create this access road do not need to be replaced after completion of the project. 2. Pipe Liner/Replacement Installation: o Install a permanent liner in the existing approximately 76 feet of 24-inch CMP, between points A and B on Exhibit C. A potential recommendation is to use UV CIPP (Ultra Violet Cured-in-Place Pipe). However, the Contractor may recommend an approved alternative lining material. o Remove approximately 59 feet of existing 24-inch CMP between points B and C, and replace this section with 24-inch HDPE pipe. o Provide recommendations and justifications for alternative materials if applicable, subject to approval by the Town. o The existing pipe to be addressed is shown in the Exhibit C, between Points A and C; Point A is a catch basin on Love Court that will be replaced as part of this project. There is a horizontal pipe bend at point B, and the pipe terminates at an existing manhole structure at Point C. 3. Site Restoration: o Upon completion of the pipe lining, remove the temporary access road and restore the area to its pre-construction condition, including re-establishing any disturbed ground cover. Also, re-establish the slope with ground cover on the area disturbed by a previous project (see Exhibit B). 4. Project Cost: o Pipe Lining System: Price per linear foot (LF) for the installation of the pipe lining system (approx. 76 LF between points A and B). o Removal of Pipe: Price per linear foot (LF) to remove the existing pipe and replace with 24- inch HDPE (approx. 59 LF, between point B and part way to point C) o Labor and Materials: Cost of all labor and materials required for the completion of the project, including temporary access road construction, pipe lining installation, and site restoration...
