The selected vendor will be responsible for delivering a fully functional Use of Force Simulator that includes the following capabilities: Interactive, Scenario-Based Training: o Realistic, immersive training environments that simulate real-world use of force situations. o Scenarios must be consistent with Illinois state law and Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office use of force policies. De-escalation and Duty to Intervene Training: o Scenarios should emphasize decision-making under pressure, including de-escalation techniques and proper response to incidents requiring intervention. Mental Health Crisis Scenarios: o Incorporate situations involving individuals with mental health disorders to enhance response protocols. Use of Lethal and Less-Lethal Force: o Provide practical training in appropriate applications of force, including tasers, pepper spray, batons, and firearms. Firearms Training Modules: o Enable live-action or laser-based firearms practice with realistic feedback and performance evaluation. Support and Maintenance: o On-site support for installation and initial implementation. o Ongoing maintenance and technical support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
