The objective of this work is for vendors to supply road base material to the District (District to provide trucking). The District anticipates purchasing 10,000 tons of road base material to improve approximately 2.5 miles of roadways within Silver Springs Forest Conservation Area. Contractor shall provide road base material (exclusive of trucking), with certified weight tickets. The material should generally meet Florida Department of Transportation Specifications for road base material but does not need to be FDOT certified. However, the moisture content and the gradation schedule shall be met as defined below. The District reserves the right to inspect the material to ensure the quantity and quality meets the District’s minimum requirements prior to award.
