A. Contractor shall provide Statewide Translation Interpretation Services at each individual Department of State Hospitals – (DSH) Atascadero, Coalinga, Metropolitan, Napa, and Patton: for In Person Statewide Translation Interpreting Services for all foreign languages including American Sign Language, to assist Limited English Proficiency (LEP) persons during various appointments, court appearances, meetings, and trainings. B. Contractor shall provide American Sign Language (ASL)- Interpreters shall be proficient in interpreting American Sign Language and possess a valid current certification of any of the following from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), National Association of the Deaf (NAD), National Interpreter Certification (NIC) or an equivalent organization, as determined on a as need basis: i. RID Certificate of Interpretation (CI) ii. RID Certificate of Interpretation (CI) and Certificate of Transliteration (CT). (Both Required) iii. RID Comprehensive Skills Certificate (CSC) iv. NAD III v. NAD IV vi. NAD V vii. NIC Advanced viii. NIC Master ix.
